Terms

Terms of Sale

The plain-language terms for buying a Mother Comet eBook and reading it in our Cloud Reader.

Last updated 7 October 2026

01Who sells to you

Books on mothercomet.com are sold by Mother Comet, an independent publishing project based in Thailand. Contact: info@mothercomet.com.

By placing an order you agree to these terms and to our Refund Policy.

02What you are buying

When you buy an eBook you receive a personal, non-transferable right to read it online in the Mother Comet Cloud Reader, by signing in to your account. Our eBooks are read in the browser; there is no file to download.

The book’s copyright stays with its author and publisher. Your purchase is for your own private reading.

03Pre-orders

Pre-orders are charged when you order. The book appears in your library straight away and opens in the Cloud Reader on the publication date shown on the book page (for Scarlet Ray — Alarine: 10 October 2026, 00:00 Central European Time).

If publication is delayed, we will email you; you may then cancel for a full refund. If we cannot deliver the book at all, we refund you in full.

04Prices and payment

The price is shown on the book page and on Stripe’s secure checkout page before you pay, and is the total you pay to us. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your bank or card provider may add its own currency-conversion or foreign-transaction fees.

Your order is confirmed when the payment succeeds; you will see the book in your library and receive a receipt from Stripe.

05Using your account and the Cloud Reader

Please keep your password private. You agree not to:

  • share your account or let others read through it;
  • copy, record, screenshot, print or distribute the book’s pages, in whole or in part;
  • try to download, scrape or extract the book, or get around the reader’s protections.

If these rules are broken we may suspend access to the account. We will tell you why and, where fair, give you a chance to respond.

06Availability of the Cloud Reader

We work to keep the Cloud Reader available at all times, but it may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control.

If we ever decide to stop offering the Cloud Reader, we will give you reasonable notice and offer you another way to read the books you bought, or a refund.

07Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel a pre-order for a full refund at any time before publication day. After a book becomes available in your library, the details of your rights are explained in our Refund Policy.

08Our responsibility

We are responsible for supplying the book as described. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for problems caused by your own device, connection or browser. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the consumer laws of the country where you live.

09Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. If you live elsewhere, you keep the protections of your local consumer law. If something goes wrong, please write to info@mothercomet.com first — we will do our best to put it right.

10Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future orders. The version that applies to an order is the one shown when you placed it.
