Mother Comet

Seven years ago, in September 2019…

It all began with imagination. A 21-year-old Irina Lilith, fresh out of university, standing at the crossroads of figuring out who she was and finding the courage to do what she loved.

She started with pen and paper, jotting down scattered thoughts before opening a blank Microsoft Word document on an old desktop. Back then, her world was just a bedroom in a Bangkok apartment she shared with her mum.

Everything may have started with letters on a keyboard — but before long, her creativity came with a price tag. Every now and then she had to ask her mum for money to hire artists to draw concept art. And at last, the world of Scarlet Ray truly came to life, straight out of the visions in her head.

Scarlet Ray became the starting point for everything. A novel that carries Irina’s journey through the years, her thoughts and a self that slowly changed with time. Like a comet crossing the universe.

It took seven years for that comet
to finally reach its destination.

And this is where Mother Comet begins.
